Small Haul: Walmart

Hey everyone! SORRY it has been so long! Nonetheless, I have another blog post today in which I will be sharing with you the items I purchased from Walmart three days ago. Enjoy! :)

  • CoverGirl Fusion Mascara in "Very Black" - I purchased this for $7.98. I decided to try this mascara out after hearing very positive reviews of the product on you tube. The different thing about this mascara is that it claims to separate, lengthen, and volumize lashes at the same time. From two uses, I can tell you that this is my new favorite mascara! It does EXACTLY what it claims to do, does not chip, and stays on all day!
  • spf 20 Soft lips in "Vanilla" - I picked one of these chapsticks up to give it a try while at the check out counter at Walmart. It retails for about $1.77 depending on your location. I can safely say that I adore this chapstick--even more than my recently purchased e.l.f. chapstick featured in one of my previous hauls. This chapstick is extremely creamy without being too creamy where it begins to feel like Vaseline on your lips. There is also a wide variety of scents as well as seasonal scents and even tinted versions of these chapsticks. I really recommend that you try these out!

Review: MAC's Lipstick in "Frenzy"

Good evening everyone! Today I'm coming at you with another review! This time, I'm reviewing MAC's lipstick in "Frenzy". Enjoy! :)

Price and Amount of Product - I purchased this lipstick at my MAC counter in Macy's for $14.50. This particular lipstick contains 3 g or 0.1 oz of product.

Overview and what this is: This particular MAC lipstick features a frost finish. Due to having this finish, the lipstick is extremely shiny and contains tons of shimmer. Additionally, the lipstick is a pinky-peach beige color (according to MAC's description). Plus, this is a permanent color. As far as the packaging goes, the lipstick is held in a sophisticated yet chic (slightly shimmery) black bullet-like case. The case has MAC written in silver block letters and has a thin line of silver underneath the name.

Like(s): I adore this product! I love the beautiful color, finish, and staying power! I also really like the packaging and appreciate knowing that a lot of effort has gone into creating this product. Also, aside from the color's beauty, it's also quite wearable--considering it's a frost.
Pros - Color, finish, staying power, packaging, effort, wearable color

Dislike(s): The only thing I dislike about the product is the price tag. Although I understand that this brand is on the less expensive side of high end products, I still don't think I should spend $15.00 on a lipstick.
Cons - The price

Tips & Tricks and Final Thoughts:
One tip to getting the most out of this lipstick is to use it sparingly. Because of its high quality formula and superior pigmentation, only a little bit of product is needed. Like the old adage says, a little does go a long way--[especially with a MAC lipstick!]. Plus, using this lipstick sparingly will help you save money. I also suggest that with a more sheer color, adding a lip gloss on top will increase the pigmentation and overall appearance of the final look.
All-and-all, I love this lipstick. I would suggest it to any one who would like to venture out into the world of department store makeup and spend the extra money. MAC is a great brand and I really suggest their lip line!

Update + Mini Collective Haul (Target, CVS)

Hey everyone! Sorry it has been a while! I had a hectic weekend last week with my vacation as well as a crazy Monday and Tuesday. However now I'm back and ready as ever to write a new blog post! Today I am sharing with you the items I picked up from Target and CVS. Enjoy :)

Target
  • e.l.f. BeautyBook Neutral Eye Edition - This is one of e.l.f.'s new products featured in their new special edition "Back to School" line. I purchased this palette for only $5.00! It contains 12 neutral eye shadows (featuring staid plums, pinks, and browns), a brightening eyeliner in "Coffee", and a double-sided eyeshadow applicator. The shadows in this palette are amazing! They are highly pigmented, soft, and come in a great variety of colors. The eyeliner is great as well. I can definitely foresee that this will soon become my top go-to palette!

CVS

  • 70 CVS Super Jumbo Cotton Balls - Just your standard cotton balls! Great for removing/applying makeup! These additionally retailed for about $2.00.

  • St. Ives Soothing Oatmeal & Shea butter moisturizer - Captivated by its mellow and calm scent I decided to pick up this moisturizer. I purchased this for about $6.00. It comes with a staggering 532 ml of product and features a nice, non-watery, non-oily formula. Plus, all ingredients are claimed to be natural. I plan to use this mainly on my chafed ankles caused by my ice skates. :(

Thanks for reading! I'll keep you updated on these products!
